Three ways people use it

01

Videos and courses, on your cuts

Start a line on a cut, hold a pause for a slide change, to the hundredth of a second. Subtitles come with it.

[at 0:12.5] Here's the new dashboard. [pause 1.25s]

02

Your own voice, in other languages

Record 20 seconds and hear yourself speak Spanish or Japanese, accent and all. Only your own voice, or one you have permission for.

03

Characters that don't exist yet

Describe the role and cast three takes. Keep the one you like as your own voice.

“A grumpy old sea captain, gravelly and slow.”

Questions

Can I use the audio commercially?

Yes. You may use what you generate for private and commercial purposes: videos, courses, ads, podcasts. There is no per-use licence and no expiry. AI audio isn't exclusive to you and may not be protected by copyright in every country. Terms

Which languages can it speak?

Ten: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. Each has native voices, and a voice you design or clone speaks all ten.

What do I need to clone a voice?

10 to 30 seconds of one person speaking clearly; a phone recording is fine. A video or a longer file works too: the speech is taken out in your browser. It must be your own voice, or one you have permission for. Cloning comes with any plan or credit pack.

Where is my data, and is it used for training?

On servers in the EU (Finland). Your texts and recordings stay yours, and we don't use them to train AI models. Every file carries an inaudible watermark that marks it as AI-generated, as the EU AI Act asks. Privacy

How long can a text be?

About 900 characters make a minute of speech. Paid plans take up to 3,000, 10,000 or 20,000 characters per generation (up to about 22 minutes), so a whole chapter fits in one go. Plans

How do I cancel?

Any time in your account, under Manage subscription. It runs until the end of the period you paid for. Within 14 days we also refund unused credit packs, and Lifetime plans with less than 10,000 characters used.

“I'm an audio engineer in Austria. I built VoiceAct because good narration shouldn't need a studio booking.”
